An elegant and macabre story

Robert Blumenfeld has written a tantalizing and horrifying tale based in historical events. I love a good gothic story and this certainly is one. It also is rich in history and the philosophic trends of the time. Beautifully and elegantly written and terrifying without the appeal to lurid detail.

It’s not often I read a book in one sitting…

Robert’s descriptive use of language makes it all appear inside your head. I can see the villages and houses, I can smell the food. This novel was an amazing ride, I ended up reading it in one sitting. That’s two for two for this writers – can’t wait to read the next!

Memories of a Vanished Time

In this memoir, author Robert Blumenfeld brings the memory of his parents back to. He hopes to give readers a glimpse of American history — from the World War I, through the Roaring Twenties and Prohibition, the Great Depression, World War II, and the subsequent wars. His parents, Ruth and David Blumenfeld, lived through the rise and fall of the Soviet Union, has witnessed technological changes in their lifetime, and  did much political and social good because they cared and wanted to help create a kinder, better, more loving world for everyone.
